Last week, I went home to Cabanatuan to meet up with some friends. I was reluctant but figured that I was just anxious to step on the land that cradled me for almost all my life for I haven't gone back for three years. I know, it's crazy. I've been too busy to take that 4-hour journey home because - maybe, just maybe - I don't have any reason to.

I jumped off the bus and went straight to, well the usual suspect, Pacific and while waiting for my friends to arrive, I roamed around the mall. It's funny how that place didn't change for years, I mean, the stalls, the shops, everything is still intact, still where it was years ago, but it almost felt like an alien territory, probably because I am the alien, myself. I instantly felt a hole in my heart, a hollow void I cannot fathom especially when I went home and found nothing that belongs to me anymore (because they are renovating the house and all the stuff I left is probably boxed up and hidden away for a while.). But all the happy memories of that very short weekend brought about by my family and friends dispelled everything negative I felt. I, now maybe an outcast in the same world I've lived in for years, but I'm certain that the same faces that smiled at me during that small escapade will always welcome me with open arms.
Here are some of the photos I took as we drove along the city.

Arvin swore he won't leave me if I decided to go home. We stayed together until 8 in the morning.

Mc Donald's Cabanatuan is well... very Cabanatuan - they deliver in a tricycle!

Ah. Sunrise! We all wanted to have a 'sunrise photo' but we were too undecided where to take it, we ended up with none.

| During our days, you are a cool kid if this is your hang out place. I obviously am not cool. |
